# Connect VILAX to Claude

VILAX provides a read-only MCP connector for asking Claude about current business data. The server URL is `https://mcp.vilax.ai/mcp`. You need a VILAX account with access to at least one project and permission to view reports. A Claude account that supports custom connectors is also required.

## Connect

1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and add a custom connector using the server URL above. If VILAX is available in the Connectors Directory, install it there instead.
2. Sign in to your own VILAX account on `app.vilax.ai` and approve the requested access. Do not share your credentials with Claude or another person.
3. In a new Claude chat, enable the VILAX connector. Ask: “Show the VILAX projects and locations I can access.” Approve a tool call if Claude asks for permission.

Your VILAX account determines which projects and locations are visible. Claude cannot obtain access to an object merely by mentioning its name. An administrator can change your VILAX permissions without changing the connector.

## Available tools

| `list_my_locations` | Available locations in a selected project. |
| `get_kpis` | KPIs for a project or location and date range. |
| `get_period_comparison` | One metric compared across two periods. |
| `get_locations_ranking` | Accessible locations ranked by a metric. |
| `get_plan_summary` | Plan summary for a selected period. |
| `get_plan_vs_actual` | Plan, actual result, and variance. |
| `get_daily_series` | Daily values for a metric, for up to 93 days. |
| `get_live_status` | Current status of a project or location. |
| `get_anomalies` | Detected anomalies within your access scope. |
| `get_forecast` | Current forecast. |
| `get_location_discounts` | Discounts at accessible locations. |

All twelve public tools only read data. The public connector cannot edit plans, add comments, change users, or transfer money. Claude explains the results using its own model; VILAX supplies the authorized data. Availability and freshness depend on the underlying VILAX data sources.

## Example questions

- “What was yesterday’s revenue for my available locations?”
- “Compare this week’s revenue with the previous week.”
- “Show this month’s revenue plan versus actual.”
- “Which of my locations had unusual discounts this week?”

If authorization expires, reconnect VILAX in Claude. If a project or location is missing, ask your VILAX administrator to check your permissions.
